Sunrise, Lightsabers & Love: Alyssa & Trey’s EPCOT Wedding Adventure
There’s “I do,” and then there's "I do”…at 5:30 a.m. before EPCOT even opens to the public. Alyssa and Trey didn’t just think outside the box—they ran past it, lightsabers in hand, and said yes to a wedding day that was as bold, beautiful, and one-of-a-kind as they are.
As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen a lot of magic. But when a couple tells me they’re getting married at sunrise in the Place de Remy in the France Pavilion, followed by a Rue de Paris fireworks party…yeah, my camera and I are already sprinting through the gates. This is next level “rope drop” (IYKYK).
Is It Paris or Florida? You May Never Know
There’s something so surreal about EPCOT at dawn. The park is quiet, golden light just starting to peek over the skyline—and then, in the middle of it all, a wedding ceremony begins. Alyssa and Trey chose to tie the knot at the Remy fountain in France, and let me tell you: intimate doesn’t even begin to cover it.
A single violinist played as they shared their first dance under soft sunrise light, and the result? Pure Disney romance. These are the kinds of wedding photos that make you do a double take. Are we in Paris…or are we in Florida? And honestly, does it matter when the moment feels this right?
Creative Photos, Star Wars Style
One of my favorite things about working with couples like Alyssa and Trey is that they go for it. They had Star Wars-inspired touches woven into their day, and we got creative with their Disney wedding portraits in a way that felt totally “them.” From romantic fountain shots to action-packed lightsaber photos during the fireworks—it was everything you want from an EPCOT wedding day: elegant, adventurous, and just the right amount of unexpected.
And Then Came the Fireworks
Their Rue de Paris reception was equal parts fun and iconic. We’re talking Minnie bridal ears, a cake that was basically art, and yes, more Star Wars action (spoiler: the bride won the lightsaber battle). The grand finale? A Disney fireworks party that lit up the sky—and felt like the perfect celebration of a love story that’s truly out of this world.
Why I’ll Always Say Yes to “Crazy” Ideas
Look, I get it—5:30 a.m. might sound a little wild to some. But here’s the truth: I’ll say yes to just about anything when my couples are down for the ride. Because that’s where the good stuff lives. The real smiles, the unexpected joy, the once-in-a-lifetime kind of photos. When you trust me to follow the light (saber), I promise we’ll make magic together.
If you’re dreaming of a Walt Disney World wedding that breaks the mold, I’m all in. Whether it’s a Place de Remy ceremony, a Star Wars fireworks showdown, or something so “you” no one’s done it before—I’m ready with camera in hand and zero fear of early mornings.
Let’s make your Disney wedding feel like the best kind of fairytale: the one where you write all the rules.
